Definition: FALCPA is a commonly used acronym which stands for the United States Food Allergen Labeling and Consumer Protection Act of 2004. This law mandated that most packaged foods indicate the presence of the eight most common food allergens -- dairy, eggs, soy, wheat, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and crustacean shellfish -- in their ingredient list.
