Try one of these Halloween recipes that are free of the most common food allergens.  You're sure to have a frightfully delicious time.

Beware! The smell of spiced cider warming your kitchen has been known to attract small ghosts and goblins! (Not to mention hockey players, princesses, and dinosaurs.)

2. Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

After carving your pumpkin, rinse off the seeds and roast them for a delicious, healthy, Halloween treat. Pumpkin seeds are not a major allergen and a safe for most people with nut allergies.

3. Allergy-Free Caramel Popcorn

Take me out to the ballgame... or the movies, or to a Halloween party... anywhere where they are serving this caramel popcorn. This recipe is free of common food allergens and contains no dairy, soy, nuts, or peanuts.

4. Mummy Bones with Blood Dip: Gluten-Free, Allergy-Free Halloween Recipe

If the zombies are beating a path to your kitchen this Halloween, it may be because of the wonderful smell of baking mummy bones wafting from your oven. Using pre-made pizza dough and sauce makes this snack monstrously simple.

5. Dairy-Free, Egg-Free Apple Cobbler

Apple cobbler is a wonderful fall treat. Fresh apples roast with cinnamon and sugar, blanketed with fluffy, sweet biscuits.  For an added treat, top with a dairy-free frozen soy or rice "ice cream."  This recipe is free of dairy, nuts, and eggs, but does contain soy and wheat.

6. Allergy-Free Pumpkin Muffins

Pumpkin muffins are a great way to sneak some veggies into your picky eater. This recipe is suitable for people with allergies to eggs, dairy, soy, nuts, or peanuts, but does contain wheat flour.

7. Savory Mini Pumpkins

Substitute olive oil for the butter in this recipe if you are allergic to dairy. These pumpkin shells can hold rice pilaf, millet-herb stuffing, or even serve as bowls for pumpkin soup.  (Note that these recipes each contain one of the most common food allergens. Choose a recipe that works for your allergies.)

8. Halloween Wormy Gelatin

The grosser the better on Halloween night.  As with all prepackaged foods, check the ingredient label to be sure the gelatin and gummy worms are safe for your allergies.
