Jeanette is a freelance writer and author of the online food allergy cookbook Top8Free.com. She lives in a household whose members have allergies to peanuts, soy, tree nuts, barley, palm oil, and most fruits. One member of the family can not eat foods high in natural histamine, and two are lactose intolerant.
Life changed for Jeanette when her daughter was diagnosed with milk and soy intolerances, and then later, multiple food allergies.
After years of being a medical advocate and recipe developer for her daughter, Jeanette decided to help others who were going through the same thing. She created an online cookbook and blog about living with multiple food allergies.
Jeanette received a BA from the University of Michigan and a Masters degree in Urban Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
By Jeanette Bradley:
I love good food. One of the positive things to come out of my experience with food allergies is that I eat better now than I used to. Despite my family's multupe allergies, we not only eat well, we eat fantastically delicious food that people without allergies envy.
It is possible to live well with food allergies. It is a challenge, especially in the beginning, to learn to read labels, ask questions, and navigate social situations. My goal is to make that process easier for others.
