The sad case of Francesca Sanna, a nineteen-year-old with food allergies who died of anaphylaxis after brushing her teeth (as noted on both Allergizer and Allergy Moms), underscores the potential dangers of common household products. Although it should be noted that the cause of Sanna's death is as-yet undetermined, many common cosmetics, toiletries, medications, and craft supplies are made with common allergens and other food-based components. And frustratingly, some of these products don't prominently include ingredient information. You can find some lists at the National Library of Medicine's Household Products Database, but the bottom line is: never ingest anything unless you've double-checked the contents, even if you've used the product before.

Oh that a touching story. People are so innocent, unaware of the products people just go for any product they see in the market.
