Seeds and Tree Nut Allergies

If reader mail is any indication, one group of foods that is often confusing for people with tree nut allergies is seeds. No wonder: sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds are all commonly ground and used like nut butters, and all have a somewhat "nutty" taste.

With the caveat that virtually any food can cause an allergic reaction, here's the scoop on whether these three foods are safe for your tree nut-free diet.

Great info. on tree nut allergies. Its tough to find food sub. for any type of allergy but more grocers are coming on board now.
