The first days, weeks, and months after being diagnosed with any condition that requires you to modify your behavior in any way are the most difficult, and allergies are no exception. Here is an overview of some of the issues facing families with a dairy allergy diagnosis, along with some recommendations on replacing the nutrients you may have been getting from dairy products. Anyone following a gluten-free casein-free diet for autism would find this information useful as well.

Do you have any tips for day-to-day life without dairy or great milk-free products that you'd like to share with other readers? If so, please share them in the comments or in the food allergy forums!
